Earth Day with AGM

Earth Day. It’s Never too Late to Start!

If you were not an environmentalist before today, Earth Day 2021, it’s never too late to start.

Environmentalists are aware of their day-to-day impacts on our world and take steps to mitigate the damages done. We fight the good fight every day against climate destruction in three easy steps. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. You’ve already joined the movement to improve the planet.

Reduce. In being an Arlington Green Mowers, Inc. customer, you personally have removed the equivalent pollution created by eleven cars driven for one hour each time we complete your services. Other areas to Reduce. Single-use plastics. They’ve invaded our lives and only as consumers can we demand better. Plastic bags, food containers, and those pesky plastic bottles.

Reuse. We have a space in our garage for empty jars and other products we can reuse, like souvenir cups we try so hard not to buy. They make great paint containers, or catchalls when putting together your latest Amazon furniture purchase.

Recycle. When all else fails, make sure to recycle. Glass and metals are far more recyclable than plastics, but anything is better than nothing.

The EPA estimates over 17 Million gallons of fuel, mostly gasoline, are spilled each year refueling gas-powered mowers. That’s equal to 1 Exxon Valdez oil spill

Since 1970, Americans celebrated clean air, land, and water. There are any number of websites to engage with to expand your influence on protecting the planet while reducing harm already inflicted. Check out the epa.gov or earthday.org for more activities and resources. One thing COVID-19 gave us was a worldwide pause to see what things could be like if we simply took action. We thought we might provide some images of the history of Earth Day as a reminder of how far we’ve come, and how very far we have yet to go. Thank you for your partnership and your dedication to the cause.

Our gift to you today is this small token of how easy change can be. Every day we cut down and convert to toilet paper alone 40,000 trees. That accounts for 20% of the daily deforestation amounts. There is a better way. Bamboo Paper Products. Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants in the world, growing up to 3 feet per day while absorbing massive amounts of carbon during growth. It reaches harvest maturity in 3 years and does not need to be replanted once harvested. It will simply regrow. We’ve partnered with Cloud Paper for Earth Day to bring you this full-sized roll to sample with a custom discount just for our customers. To learn more, please visit cloudpaper.co.
